July 4th, 2009
Well, up and coming news:
First, I bought a laptop and am now on it like, 16/7 I swear. I’ve been working on some new stuff and I’ve taken a couple few pictures of my latest drawings with the webcam on this thing, but they look like absolute shit so forgive the dullness of them. My scanner, as of right now, is nothing more than a huge, square dust collecting unit. I’m gonna crack it open soon and see if it’s even fixable. (I just hope I don’t get electrocuted, I would prefer not to die that way.)
Second, I’m kinda bored right now, albeit peaceful, because my boyfriend is in Kansas right now (We ain’t in Kansas no more, Dorothy) and I’ve grown accustomed to him rambling on about DnD all day. It’s not that I don’t mind the nerdy conversations, I just don’t understand how someone can focus on and talk about one thing for days on end. I’ve heard of one-track minds, but I thought that only happened with sexual topics, not nerdual topics. But, hey, he’s a sweetie. I gotta love him, he’s meh bitch.
Third, my fourth of July sorta sucks so far (it‘s the 4th as I type this, at 2:00 in the morning), mainly because I found out that two of my best friends, L and C, are knocked up. They’re only a couple of months older than me…I just can’t believe it. Also, but less importantly, the fireworks this year are skimpy. I only had five bucks left so…well, you get the picture. On top of that, my man is gone to Cornville and this fucking laptop doesn’t have a fucking disc drive so I can’t even rot my brain with Neverwinter Nights!
Well, in retrospect, it‘s not all that bad.. I just gotta look on the bright side. (Although I AM kinda worried about my man, but that’s just perfectly normal paranoia.)
